How This World Is Built

A guide to how Eldraheim's lore comes together, and how you can help shape it.

Most campaigns hand you a GM-structured world and ask you to walk through it. This one hands you a frame. I set the path, the realm, and the rules it runs on. What lives inside it comes from you: the books you bring, the academy you came from, the things your character sees when I ask.

Nothing here is a free for all. It is a guided build, and the world you end up playing in is one every player made together.

Your Favorite Books

Literature is the window into imagination. It teaches, it helps us grow, it builds who we are. Let's acknowledge those who built us by building a world from the imaginations they inspired.

We are not limited to three books forever, but in the early stages this rule keeps ideas collaborative rather than belonging to any one person. Knowing where a seed comes from helps everyone know how to make it grow.

Your ideas are no different. Using our favorite books as reference points means no one has to worry about a bad idea, or about explaining every detail before it makes sense. It also makes it easier for the rest of the table to help an idea take shape.

No pressure. Just worldbuilding together.

The Books the Foundation Is Built On

This list will grow with the world.

Coming soon: the Inspirations page, where we will list and show appreciation for the works of literature that collaborated with us to build this world.

The Arbitration

This, like everything else here, will change and grow.

Though I can claim the final word, there are paths I prefer to take. Some situations are settled with dice, some with a table vote, and some by me simply making the call. As I said, I am this game's guide, not its master.
